I'm on a smoothie kick!
I went to the store and they were selling organic frozen berries that you could scoop yourself. Yum!
There's the cutest vegetarian/vegan hippy lunch restaurant in Fair Oaks, California. The owners started it in the 70's and haven't changed anything. It's the first place I want to go to eat whenever I go back home to visit. They sell frozen yogurt blackberry smoothies that are so delicious! You can easily make it vegan too.
Here's what to put in the blender:
- 1 Cup Frozen Blackberry
- 3/4 Cup Oat milk or another non-dairy milk
- 3/4 Non-Dairy Yogurt (original or vanilla)
- 2 Dates or Agave Syrup
- Squeeze a bit of lemon juice (optional)
Serving size: One big yummy glass! (or two smaller ones).
Enjoy alone or share!
Note: I've also made this with coconut ice-cream instead of yogurt which was also super yummy! The yogurt just makes it creamier and gives a little bit of sourness which is nice. You can also do frozen yogurt ice cream.
